Dreamworks Still Seeing Red

February 29, 2008

The last studio standing in HD-DVD exclusivity is Dreamworks. According to a statement made by Katzenberg (HighDefDigest), Dreamworks was waiting to hear back from Toshiba on how they should proceed. Bad news is that Paramount is has nixed their HD-DVD schedule past March 4, which means that the Bee Movie (a Dreamworks picture) that was scheduled to be released on March 11 by Paramount will not be happening.

Sounds like a bit of a mess if you ask me. Hopefully they resolve this soon.

Paramount Changes Release Schedule

February 29, 2008

Paramount Pictures has announced a change in the upcoming movie releases. According to Video Business, Paramount will release its final HD DVD movies on March 4. Everything that was scheduled to be released after that date on HD-DVD has been pulled. There is no word yet on when the Blu-rays will begin rolling out the door for Paramount, nor is there any word on what the first Blu-ray offerings Paramount will dish up when they do begin releasing them.

Who Is Jesus? - Part 5

February 29, 2008

The fifth installment deals with the resurrection as well as another question about life after death. It is still amazing the answers received for these questions. How do we respond to their responses?

  1. What do you think about the claims that after three days of being dead, Jesus came back to life?
  2. If Jesus was resurrected, how do you think it happened?
  3. What do you think happens when you die?

Red, The New Blu

February 28, 2008

Mike at PopCritics.com will not like this news, particularly after his last post on this topic: Netflix sneaking in DVDs for HD-DVDs.

It appears that Netflix is putting their switch to Blu-ray exclusivity into full throttle. According to Blu-ray.com, Netflix is increasing their Blu-ray inventory from 400 to 1,500 discs. There is also discussion of a raising their fees due to the increased cost associated to the Blu-ray media, but nothing definite has been determined. T-Shirts

February 28, 2008

I’m a T-Shirt guy for the most part. I suspect I own more concert shirts than is socially decent. However, while browsing the Take Your Vitamin Z blog today, Zach had made the following post: My Wife Wants To Get This Shirt. So I immediately IMed the wife and told her, I have to buy this shirt, it is just too funny.

She immediately responded with, “Well, if you get to buy that one, then I get to buy this one.”
