Bad Theology and Bad Science

November 7, 2006

Are you kidding me? Okay, so I know that in the past I’ve used bananas to explain the concept of Faith - but this is just ridiculous. I can’t believe this guy is saying this stuff with a straight face - he can’t be serious…can he?

What a joke.

Moral Mudslinging?

November 2, 2006

It’s got to stop. It’s old, it’s tired and it’s entirely unnecessary. Honestly, I don’t even know what most of the candidates on either side are standing for because they have spent the majority of their time and my time (via political advertisements) running their opponents down. I do know what is wrong with so-in-so, but I hardly know what is right about them or their views on particular issues.

Ravi Zacharias once commented on why he wouldn’t engage in a battle of words with someone who disagreed with his view. He said, “When we throw mud, not only do we get our hands dirty, but we lose a lot of ground as well”. Very true.

The recent round of volleys served up this past week has led to more dissension within the Republican rank and file with some actually leaving the party altogether. Case in point: the late Dr. Francis Schaeffer’s son, Frank, has decided to turn in his registration and sign-up as an independent based on the mudslinging by Republican George Allen over Jim Webb. The article can be read here: Dallas Morning News - I Should be Supporting Allen. Instead, I’m Leaving the Party.

I, for one, have wearied of it all. It is now to the point were it has all just become white-noise rhetoric and I automatically just tune it out. The finger-pointing must stop - I feel like I’m watching old re-runs of Romper Room.
